Introduction
The leather rubbing color fastness tester is used to evaluate the color fastness of materials such as leather, fabric, vinyl, sewn seams, plastic, etc. during rubbing tests (similar to rubbing fading). This equipment has three stations, each of which can independently carry a load of 500g or 1000g. After the sample is clamped and fixed on the vibration testing bed, a tension of 25% can be applied. Each station is equipped with adjustable brackets to place the test felt pads, which can accommodate rubber pads of the same size.
The felt pads are used for color fastness and damage assessment. Both dry and wet tests can be conducted (usually using deionized water or synthetic sweat). The test samples and the test felt pads are compared with the standard gray scale in a standard multi-light source color matching box to evaluate the color changes. By using rubber pads instead of felt pads, the friction between the shoe sole and the leather at the front of the shoe can be simulated, similar to when the wearer crosses their legs and places one shoe on top of the other.
Apart from the felt pads and rubber pads, sandpaper, cotton fabric or other similar friction materials can also be used. Just make appropriate modifications to the pad support.
